legend has it that the gods decided to strike a village's water supply with the plague of insanity one day. overhearing their plan, a man decided to store water in a hidden cove that he may avoid this plague. upon drinking the stricken water, the village turned mad and the man came out from his cove, prophesying to them that the gods have played a cruel trick on them. he pointed to his store of water, pure, untainted, cure. they looked at him and all laughed in unison at the absurdity of his claim. realizing that he was now the mad one, he bathed himself in the cursed waters, the store of liquid forgotten in that hidden cove.
many moons after, the community found the water in the cove and upon drinking it had their eyes opened. and they feasted on it, sweet as it was. when it came turn finally to administer it to that man, none was left.
